Not a job, but a vocation
Britannia was founded by Choudhry Inayat Khan and Manoj Joshi in 1990. After almost 30 years providing care, we are still a family-run home, remaining focused on our original vision of providing the highest quality care based on individual needs for diverse communities in a purpose-built home.
Our staff are our biggest asset – their experience, expertise, compassion and care make Britannia a true home for the people who live here.
Staff training and development is so important to us – we want our staff to be their best, to always seek ways to improve, and to drive our service forwards. We maintain high standards, offering training to high levels.
Training provision at Britannia Care
At Britannia, we have taken the positive and strategic step of partnering with one of Yorkshire’s leading training providers, The Care School Ltd. Just like us, they specialise in working with the most vulnerable people in our communities.
As our incumbent staff development company, The Care School has a major responsibility to identify training needs, develop a training plan and support the management team to ensure the people we employ are continually developing and applying their learning into their working environment.
The Care School have established themselves over the last 20 years as the most passionate care training providers in our region, and the most comprehensive provider of care training services in the country thanks to their diverse range of care courses and experienced tutors.
We are able provide our team with care training courses that are tailored to our specialisms and our residents’ needs, covering all aspects of care. It means we are always improving and are completely committed to helping our staff grow and develop – after all, that’s how we provide exceptional care.
